Piano as an intro is quite ok, sure I had tried to put on an equalizer in order to obtain a little brighter cleaner sound. The rather dark little over compressed.

Does the bass is ok, Kick drum hard but not quite the quality they can get by with a little help with Parametric equalizer and compressor. As in previous comment is synth
Sad dub step rather difficult considering BPM and theme. For me, it feels like you know what you want, but may not be what you want. But you are young you work hard with the music learning new things every day.

Everratic responds:

Thankyou for the review!

Very professional work, quality is spot on.
Just as you declare "Enjoy with a tall cocktail" specielt during a hot summer day sitting on the beach and can only listen. Pity jazz is not as popular among teenagers but song is too good to be on newgrounds.com honestly.

And your skills with gitaren is super. Wish I could play, I tried but I have no skills for that.

Well done Mate!

Biggyzoom responds:

Thank you very much!

She has a powerful voice. but I personally hate when people are pitching in too quickly it becomes so thickly. I prefer people who do remix properly. Song sensitivity very similar to the original
the song is okay although I think should have lowered the tempo.

viewtifulday responds:

I think if I were to remix this again, I'd do it a little differently. But then again, this is really old

Absolutely wonderful, the only thing I think you could certainly do better is the quality. The piano is quite trapped compare with violin sound.

I think it would sound better if you got the bright part of the song. Sounds like you've been playing the piano and then forgot to mix the piece.
The song is very good but it just mastering part that is missing.

So I think you should have put more time on it too

Troisnyx responds:

Back when I did this, I didn't know what proper EQ was. The only thing I even did was panning and reverb. Now that I'm able to handle these... I'm glad you pointed it out!

Thanks for listening ^_^

Yes to be honest but do not take offense to it to maybe help future with your music.

First of all Drum samples are terrible you need something better cleaner kick drums I would easily buy or download a bit more professional samples are how much heel out there .. Intro with percussion is usually ok but in this case, so there is no effecter as reverbs, equalizers little basic part. They are very dry.

Arp melody is quite ok, around 2 minutes into the song switches to more high standard which is better, I personally had used them from beginning to end.

The song itself needs some extra mixing so there will be more balance for the audio system you have. One hears kick around 2min disappears away because of bass, synth you are using.
Try lowering the volume and raise them low sounds maybe a little more filter works.

JJM121 responds:

No offense taken. :P But yeah, I agree with what you said. The drums could really have used some cleaning up. I actually removed the kick when the bass comes in. That's why you don't hear it. But the overall mixing still needs work I guess.

Thanks a lot for your feedback btw! Really appreciate it.

I like your intro, but I think the song itself coming in too fast. though it would need a better structure 0-34 secunder you type a basic harmony of the song then explodes into full song hardstyle. It's sort of a little "oh what's happening here."
I have favorite hardstyle artists like Dj Coone very good insperation.

Then you can always discuss how long the song should be, for me it is not important as long as it caught the ear of the song that it is always something happening. I listened to 4min + and it became repetitive, adding piano, another synth does not help. I simply think you built the song without having any planning how it should be but you just drove on. A good foundation for me is an intro> Break a verse>, chours and a crazy buildup> Main build. > Breakdown> build up again> an outro. but there are of course different ways to build on but personally a song must follow a red line and it does not end here.
People say it's part of the art. The music is an art.

Otherwise, I think it was a good song the only thing that you need is just some insperation.

RequiemoftheHeart responds:

Thanks for the feedback. I will say this is probably my first real attempt at Hardstyle. At the very least I did intend on having the song end with a rondo with a key change. Apart from that there were parts that were improvised such as some of the key changes and the build up at 4:55. That was more of a transition to the next part. I agree though, as far as hardstyle I do need some inspiration. I will have to check out DJ Coone. Thanks for listening :)

Intro work solid its very nice volyme, The intro pluck however oversounding the song and i think you should add more reverbs on it to make it actully more feeling to it.

Mainbreak its beautiful, Simpel melody and well played.. Build up its ok very simpel but then again main pluck is oversounding the song. But from uplifting trance artist to another just keep on working.

djahmusic responds:

Thank U, very informative comment =)

The melody is quite okay, good main chords around 0:56, percussions sounds too easy and lacks variety. We hear that the song is far from complete, but it is a good start to something.
1:50 you hear a new kind of melody strings, I think you should use maybe something else that tune piano or pluckin melody, otherwise it becomes too much layers of the same thing.

And it means that there is too much noise.
Not sure what program you use but normal people use FL studio but anyway you should try learn Mixing make sure sounds are balanced and sync to each other or something like the bass suddenly fades away, drowned beacuse of that strings at 1.50..

Thanks for the review and constructive criticism :) I agree that it needs a bit of variety. Maybe a drop should be added instead of a constant build up. I think that would help keep it interesting. I'm always tweaking my songs so I appreciate your input :)

Check out some of my other stuff and let me know what you think!

I kinda like the melody but for my own tast its way to much experimental. And it hard to call it trance beacuse when think trance is layers and melody powerful buildups...
Reason i woulden't call it trance is:
First you hear chill out very calm track lovely piano work really well done there.

Then Second: It turns out to be some more Electronic Slow down tempo dance!
then Third: From no where dub step!? For me its simply dosent match the song at all.
I like dub step i like all kind of music.
But to me this song has to much experimental styles in 1 track im getting confused as artist/listner what are you trying to achive todo this?!

Trust me in this i did alot experimental in past days was fine but eventually people began to tire of this and it was not accepted anymore. newgrounds has to many false comments i prefer be honestly atlest.

Its good track but ithink you should stick with dub step for it self and trance for it self.
Quality of dubstep was really nice was not bad at all. /TN

VGSongbird responds:

I appreciate your honest input. You should know this is the most experimental I've ever been with a piece. I think if you like Trance, you should check out some of my other stuff. I'd hate this piece to be the one you judge me on. :(

How many songs are in this one?

Anyway creation for your meleody isent bad anything can be repetitive in a song but to provent that happend you need build variations.
Exampel : 8 second rule. Every 8s should be something new to keep track intressting dosent have to be something big just something added.

Then everything will come to you in time but depends how much you self wanna learn it.
Music can be either talented people or like me and you a hard working person with a willing to learn how to make music.

merry christmas and keep on work hard /TN

SoulofT responds:

Sorry I didn't understand your first question, but I think the answer would be one song?

I like that 8 second rule, will definitely keep it in mind when producing in the future =)

Yes I will keep working hard until I can produce quality music.

Thanks a lot for the review, and merry Christmas to you too!
